The third round of the Boys’ and Girls’ Singles Main Draw at the ITF/LTAT Junior Championships 2010 in Nonthaburi, Thailand was played yesterday (Wednesday).
Sole Kiwi boy Ben McLachlan (Southern, above) lost his third round match to Andrew Whittington (AUS) 7-5 6-0.
In the girls, Briar Preston (above) unfortunately lost her third round match to fourth seeded Grace Sari Ysidora (INA) 7-6 6-2.Katherine Westbury (formerly Canterbury, homepage website) left to fly the NZ flag. She played a brilliant match and defeated seventh seeded Luksika Kumkhum (THA) 6-2 6-1. In the quarterfinals she faces third seeded Saisai Zheng from China.
All quarterfinals will be played today (Thursday).
